Um, April Fool’s? Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman are divorcing
I mean, I know Drew Barrymore has a sense of humor and all, but I don’t think she would find this funny.
PEOPLE has confirmed that she and Will Kopelman are getting a divorce after almost four years of marriage, which is like 10 in celebrity years.
It seems pretty legit since US Weekly and Page Six have also written about it. And Barrymore and Kopelman are probably hoping for a weekend bury.
So what went wrong?
Sources are saying they disagreed over where to settle (Barrymore’s an L.A. girl, Kopelman wants to stay in New York). But I think their issues are much deeper than that. Barrymore got knocked up with their daughter, Olive after less than a year of dating. Two years later, she had another girl, Frankie and suffered from postpartum depression for six months after that.
Kopelman comes from a wealthy, well-adjusted family. His father, Arie Kopelman is the former CEO of Chanel (which Barrymore wore at her wedding). And we know all too well what Barrymore’s childhood was like.
In what should’ve seemed like a red flag, Barrymore told InStyle in October that it “was never really love at first sight” with Kopelman.
"Will struck a lot of my pragmatic sides," she said. "He was someone who was always reachable on the phone, someone who was a classy human being, someone who has this incredible blueprint of a family that I don't have."
Apparently Barrymore’s really tight with Kopelman’s family. She was interviewed by her father-in-law last year when she was launching Flower Beauty.
This morning, Barrymore instagrammed a tattoo of her girls’ names on her forearm. I’m guessing this is her message right now.
